Recycled Paper Airplane Launcher
Looking for a fun and simple project that kids can do at home with everyday materials? How about making a paper airplane launcher! This easy DIY project uses basic items you probably already have around the house and will give kids hours of fun launching their homemade paper planes.
What You'll Need:
- Rubber bands (2-3)
- A toilet paper roll
- A pencil or pen
- Paper (for folding airplanes)
- Scissors
- Tape
How to Make It:
- Fold Your Paper Airplane
First, take a sheet of paper and fold it into a paper airplane. Let your kids get creative with different airplane designs! - Prepare the Toilet Paper Roll
Take the toilet paper roll and poke two small holes near the opening on opposite sides. You can use a pencil or pen to make the holes. - Attach the Rubber Bands
Loop one end of a rubber band through one hole in the toilet paper roll and secure it with a small piece of tape. Do the same on the other side so that the rubber band stretches across the opening of the toilet paper roll. - Launch the Airplane!
Hold your paper airplane, hook the tip onto the stretched rubber band, pull it back gently, and release! Watch as your airplane flies farther than ever with the power of the launcher!
Tips for Extra Fun:
- Try using different sizes of paper and folding techniques to see which plane flies the best.
- Decorate your paper airplanes with markers or stickers.
- Experiment with different rubber band strengths for longer or shorter flights.
This simple DIY project is perfect for a rainy day or an afternoon of creative play!
